PPS Wins £600,000 Mass Decon Order From Italy

A contract for the supply of 26 four- line mass decontamination units for the Italian Government worth £600,000 has been won by Professional Protection Systems of Milton Keynes.
According to PPS MD Mark Whitcher the first of the units, complete with all accessories and ready for action, have already been delivered. All 26 units have been earmarked for deployment in or near the country’s largest urban centres.
This is just the first part of the contract, however, and Whitcher says there are more orders for PPS in the Italian Government pipeline for sufficient units to cover the rest of the country.
PPS got on the Italian government’s tender list as the result of the company being chosen to fill the mass decontamination requirements of both the UK Government and the NHS. “We had to work hard to get it but the fact of being the chosen supplier to the UK Government as well as the NHS established our credibility as a major player in the first place”, Whitcher concluded adding that several other European governments were now looking to PPS as a potential supplier of decontamination equipment.
