PPS OFFER VASTLY EXTENDED MASS DECONTAMINATION PRODUCT RANGE

A vast extension to their range of second generation Mass Decontamination technology is announced by Professional Protection Systems.

All based on US articulating frame technology the units offered now range from an individual Decon Shower to a four line Mass CasualtyShelter. The latter type is currently being supplied by PPS to the Italian Government as part of its Homeland Defence Programme.

DECON SPECIALISTS MANUFACTURE FOR BEAUTIFUL GAME

Often perceived as one of those companies who only come out with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,
Professional Protection Systems has discovered a fun side to its commercial operations in making equipment for the Beautiful Game. The core business of Milton Keynes based PPS is supplying emergency services all over the world with decontamination showers, whether they be for decontamination of protective clothing after a chemical spill or a whole population after a terrorist incident.

Many of the company’s showers are plastic inflatables and the technology involved in their construction was exactly what a company called Wall2Wall Futbol™ were looking for.

PPS INTRODUCE DEDICATED DECON INCIDENT SUIT RANGE

What is believed to be the first dedicated range of protective suits designed not just to embrace every area of a decontamination incident, but also for use in decontamination-incident training, is being offered by Professional Protection Systems.

There are four suits in the new range. The first is designed as an incident control suit, the second is a full decontamination suit, the third is an NBC escape suit and the fourth has been designed for training purposes.

PPS has been awarded the contract to provide the mass decon units for New Dimension, the country’s £53m homeland defence programme .Governments and other institutions are currently investing a great deal of money in terrorist response capability.

For the first time a manufacturer of decontamination equipment is providing a dedicated mobile maintenance service to look after its customers’ equipment. Professional Protection Systems has launched the first of what will be a fleet of mobile workshops equipped and manned to carry out maintenance on mass decontamination showers as well as single units, their related accessories and PPE.

LEADING DECON SHOWER PRODUCER TO EXPAND INTO EUROPE

Thanks to British government orders for its decontamination equipment Professional Protection Systems of Milton Keynes is now established in Europe as the leading player in its field, and the volume of enquiries has become so large that the company has decided to open up shop there.

Almost immediately after completing a management buy-out from South African packaging giant, Nampak, just 12 months ago, the company was awarded the contract to supply the mass decontamination showers for the UK Government’s New Dimensions homeland defence programme by the Civil resilience team. The package also included the supply of accessories and the putting in place of training and maintenance programmes.
