| Together they will deliver crucial practical hands on experience
to ensure delegates will be able to identify, erect and breakdown NHS decontamination
shelters By the end of the course delegates will also be able to install generators, blowers, water heaters and associated equipment. The syllabus culminates in a practical exercise allowing all participants the opportunity to practice a mock decontamination scenario. The course has been designed to meet the needs of practitioners such as Acute Hospitals, GP units and associated health and emergency related organisations. LAS Commercial Services general manager Phil Woodford said, “Many organisations have purchased the equipment yet due to their increasingly-busy workloads have yet to test the equipment, let alone begin a robust training programme. If you are developing a training and maintenance programme for your PPS equipment, then this training should form an essential part of it.” LAS has already established an enviable national reputation in delivering ALSG (Advanced Life Support Group) -Accredited training courses on Major Incident Medical Management Support (MIMMS). And last year LAS hosted its first CBRN training course for practitioners. In addition to the LAS Preston-based events which start from £250 per delegate per day, including overnight accommodation and daytime meal. Training courses can also be delivered throughout the UK and, upon request, internationally. .
