NUCLEAR PROTECTION SUITS

Well established with over 50 years of experience, PPS is a prominent supplier of personal protection suits including special suits to the nuclear industry. Supplying BNFL and UKAEA sites since 1952.

We produce a fully approved nuclear full suit conforming to EN1073-1: 1998 specifically for use in hazardous environments.

Suits are lightweight and comfortable, with rear-entry gas tight zip offering easy access.

Air-fed, fully ventilated, gas-tight, with either RF welded or sewn and taped seams for strength and impermeability.

The suits are seam welded for strength and chemical resistance.

A large, non-misting hood offers full field of vision for maximum safety and, because it does not touch the face, is comfortable and not distracting. 		We produce a fully approved nuclear full suit conforming to EN1073-1: 1996 specifically for use in hazardous environments.

An air distribution system maintains suit positive pressure, and provides cooling and anti-misting air to arms and head, allowing suits to be worn comfortably for extended periods. Can also be supplied with emergency breather accessory if required. Integral air distribution system.

Externally worn waist belt fitted with low flow warning whistle, and supports air-line weight and prevents any stresses being transmitted to suit material.

Air filter units, pressure regulators, gauges and in-line flow monitoring / alarm units are also available from PPS.
Supplied to Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industries for chemical protection, and inks / dyestuffs industries to prevent contact with indelible paints and dyes.

Choose from a range of visors and cuff terminations including the unique PPS tapered locking cuff system, offering quick and secure glove fitting with no special tools required.

Available with intercom connection if required.

We also produce standard half suits and hoods for less demanding applications. Half suit specification similar to standard air-fed half suit. Can be worn with protective trousers if needed.

Available with lightweight disposable coverall to reduce the level of contamination coming in contact with the nuclear suit.

Continued developments in Boiler Suits, Trousers and Half Suit versions complete the extensive range on offer.
